Local law enforcement, including the Fremont County Sheriff’s office and Bureau of Indian Affairs, as well as a local Search & Rescue team have confirmed they are searching for a missing 70-year-old male, last seen in Riverton.
Jose “Pepe” Pereda of Arapahoe was last seen on Wednesday, September 5th around 11:30 a.m. according to family members. He was driving a 2002 small white single cab Toyota truck.
His family said he was last seen driving southbound on Federal Boulevard. He told family members he was en route to the public landfill, but they believe he never made it.
He’s described as 5’7 and around 130 lbs. He is also diabetic.
A Fremont County Sheriff’s Deputy confirmed they will be assisting in a search effort via airplane Friday afternoon. Riverton Regional Airport staff tells us that local pilots have also been participating in “search flights.”
