Lander Mayor and City Council honor 9/11 victims at Tuesday meeting

Lander Mayor Del McOmie and the Lander City Council met Tuesday, September 11th.

The meeting began with a moment of reflection and proclamation on the anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.

Mayor McOmie said, “this is a day we need to make sure we remember, it was a horrible day. I think we came out of it stronger, but it was still a horrible day.”

He proclaimed September 11th would continue to be a “day of service and remembrance in Lander and Fremont County.” The proclamation also notes a “call upon the people” to honor the lives of those lost through participation in community service and remembrance ceremonies on this day, and throughout the year.
