The Lander City Council will meet on Friday at 5:00 p.m. for a special session regarding changes to an ordinance, last discussed at the Tuesday, January 8th meeting.
A copy of the press release and agenda are both posted below.
The press release reads,
On Tuesday January 8, 2019 the new Lander City Council and newly sworn in Mayor Richardson had the thirda nd final reading for Lander City Ordinance 1224, Amending Wyo. Stat Ann§ 7-2-5, the Carrying of a Deadly Weapon. This ordinance change was proposed in November of 2018, by former Lander Police Chief Robert Cecrle, whose intentions were for the safety and betterment of the Lander community.
Since the passing of the ordinance on January 8, 2019, the new Lander City Council and Mayor Richardson became aware of legal issues concerning changes to the ordinance. As a result a Special Session has been called for Friday, January 11, 2019 at 5:00pm to repeal the original ordinance.
