    Jeffrey City man arrested after discharging firearm in a business

    The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a situation that took place inside of a business the morning of Saturday, January 12th.

    Sheriff’s responded to the Jeffrey City establishment after receiving a call just after 8:45 a.m. Saturday about two people that were in a verbal argument for several minutes, then one of the two people brandished a firearm and shot it. There were no injuries reported.

    The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office responded to a business in Jeffery City at around 8:45 am on Saturday January 12th in reference to a complaint of a Weapons Offense. After investigating the complaint, Dustin Hiatt was arrested for “Reckless Endangering”. It was alleged that after a verbal dispute, Dustin Hiatt brandished a firearm and later discharged the weapon. No one was injured in the incident.  The incident remains under investigation and additional charges are pending.
