How much food does it take to feed a football team for breakfast? Not as much bacon as you’d expect

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Riverton Schools Superintendent Terry Snyder Tuesday night acknowledged parents of the football team players for feeding them breakfast during the recent camp the team attended.

“Our parents really stepped up and supported the kids,” Snyder said, ticking off a list of how much breakfast food the players consumed during the five mornings of the camp.

    The parents provided, and cooked:

    600 biscuits

    480 pancakes

    440 sausage links

    240 tortillas

    59 pounds of ground sausage

    47 dozen eggs

25 gallons of milk and orange juice

    16 gallons of gravy

    12 pounds of potatoes

    6 pounds of bacon

    4 giant bowls of fruit

    3 pounds of cheese

    2 gallons of syrup

    1 pound of butter.

In providing the list, one parent wrote: “Five mornings of (breakfast) with the RHS football team has been priceless. Good luck this season boys. GO BIG RED!”
