Greetings from Riverton Schools,
The Fremont County School District #25 Administrative Team has been discussing the need to expand the instructional reach of the district for some time. Many ideas have been shared and explored, approaches suggested and investigated, all with the intent of being able to provide the very best learning experience for every student. Each time the topic came up, it gained more support, but the timing to start actually planning never seemed quite right.
During the 2018-19 school year, these conversations began to get more serious and focused on the idea of creating a virtual learning environment (VLE). Details and timelines started to take shape. In January, the green light was given by Superintendent Snyder to determine the feasibility of creating a VLE for Fremont 25.
In August, we presented a proposal that detailed a timeline for the creation of a Fremont 25 Virtual Education Program to the Board of Education. They were very supportive and gave us the approval to begin the planning phase. Since then, we have been busy organizing a planning team. It is our goal to have representation from all community and district stakeholders in order to create the best possible program for our students.
