Former CWC Lander Center being purchased by Catholic College

(Lander, Wyo.) – The Central Wyoming College Trustees Wednesday night gave President Brad Tyndall authorization to complete the sale of the college’s former Lander Center in the 400 block of Main Street. Vice President for Administrative Services Willie Noseep said Wyoming Catholic College was poised to lease the building for another six months, but he said a donor came forward enabling the private Liberal Arts school to meet the purchase price of $340,000.

WCC had been leasing the space since October of 2017 for $1,500 a month with an option to buy.

After fees and closing costs, the college will receive $318,235 for the building. Noseep said the building was placed on the market in October of 2015 after the new Lander Center opened on Enterprise Avenue, adjacent to the west side of the Wyoming Life Resource Center. An appraisal at that time placed the building’s value at $340,000.
