China Panda ownership has changed; Meet the new “Joys House Chinese” Restaurant tomorrow

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The driveway entrance is finished. The sidewalk is done. A new owner has taken over.  Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 14, Joy’s House Authentic Chinese Cuisine is coming to Riverton in the building formerly occupied by China Panda on North Federal Boulevard at Park Street. It’s not what Wyomingites have grown accustomed to, unless they’ve been to the Joy’s House over in Lander; the menu features 100 percent, individually-prepared homestyle Chinese, said new owner Yike “Mike” Zang, who also owns the Lander restaurant.

Joys House will open for new customers at 11 a.m.  The new restaurant’s regular hours will be open daily from 11 to 9, including Sunday.

A formally trained mechanical engineer, Zhang once worked for Tesla and General Electric but his passion is cuisine. Zhang has lived in Fremont County just over two years and in the United States two and one-half  years. He originally hails from Suzhou (near Shanghai), Jiangsu Province in southeast China.

Joys House will feature dim sum along with such delecacies as traditional Chinese noodle dishes, and authentic Chinese pork, chicken, beef, and seafood dishes as they are individually prepared on the Mainland. Zhang said the dishes are all made with fresh ingredients. “We keep the flavor of the original food without adding artificial sauces or MSG,” he said.

Zhang invites diners to come in and experience his authentic cuisine.
