    Another overnight vehicle break-in reported in Riverton

    The owner of a vehicle that was parked on North 3rd Street East in Riverton notified police that their vehicle was broken into sometime late Monday, August 20th or early Tuesday, August 21st.

    According to a Riverton Police Department media release, the vehicle had a passenger side window broken out by the suspect, or suspects.

    The vehicle owner believed items inside were missing, but the report did not elaborate on the items.

    The broken window damage is estimated at $200.

    The night before this suspected break in, County 10 reported another vehicle break-in and theft on Elizabeth Drive in Riverton. A pistol and $160 cash were reported stolen.

    RPD reminds citizens to keep valuables out of their cars, especially at night, and to lock their vehicles.
