According to a statement from High Plains Power, several residents in the Riverton-area and just outside of Riverton city limits experienced power outages Sunday afternoon and evening.
A total of 5 substations lost power because a bird came in contact with a transformer.
Crews from High Plains Power worked on the issue for several hours Sunday and power was restored to all of the areas affected by Sunday evening.
