Dubois Boys & Girls Club member participated in Regional Leadership Competition

Boys & Girls Club of Dubois member Isabell Norris, who won the Wyoming state title in February representing 17,000 youth served in Boys & Girls Clubs in the state of Wyoming, competed at the Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Southwest Regional Youth of the Year competition held in Dallas.

The competition, hosted at the Thompson Hotel, featured participants from Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Montana, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, and Wyoming. This Southwest region boasts 320,000 Club members. During the two-day event in Dallas, participants engaged in team-building activities, interacted with judges, and gained insights into Clubs from other states. Each contestant delivered a 3-minute presentation highlighting the impact of the Club on their life, followed by a 12-minute interview with a panel of judges.

Youth of the Year serves as a leadership development platform for high school Club members, empowering them to lead within their Clubs and communities, and fostering the next generation of national leaders.
