Tornado spotted in southeast Wyoming Thursday

(Wyoming) – A tornado was spotted in southeast Wyoming near Yoder on June 20, as severe storms with large hail moved through the region, according to a post shared on the AccuWeather Facebook page.

The video was captured by and credited to storm chaser Chelsea Burnett.

According to another storm chaser who was in the area named Adam Lucio, “This tornado appeared to begin as a landspout in a new updraft on the primary supercell’s flanking line but then merged with the supercell’s mesocyclone and became stronger before roping out. We call these “hybrids” and was quite a neat evolution to watch unfold.”

The AccuWeather Facebook page also shared this video of a landspout sighted near Hawk Springs, which was captured by and credited to @Wx_Intercepts. (Both videos were taken in the same general area, but the posts did not indicate if they were of the same tornado/landspout.)
