“I started in the food industry about 3 years ago but grew up with a mom who was a school cook. I grew up with food all my life. I’m known for my great smoked briskets, pulled pork and many other meats. I love Latino culture foods and my favorite to make is the barbacoa. Food is life!”

Watch as these culinary warriors go head-to-head in a burger battle with thrilling twists, from mystery ingredients to varying grill sizes. Who will create the ultimate burger and take home the glory? Come cheer on your favorite and witness the drama unfold!
The lucky judge’s panel will taste the burgers and crown the winner. This year’s judges are Vince Tropea from County 10 and host of Coffee Time, Staff Sergeant Michael Mckeon, US Marines, and Jack Lackey from the Midvale Station.

This event isn’t just about the grill – it’s a day packed with fun for everyone. Bring the kids for a blast at our carnival games and bounce house and enjoy a FREE BBQ lunch grilled by Porter’s staff. When you arrive, head into the store to pick up your meal ticket which will double as a raffle ticket. Porter’s will be drawing raffle tickets throughout the day. Get ready to win great prizes!

Dad Olympics: Watch the Ultimate Showdown
While the competing spots are filled, you won’t want to miss watching the Dad Olympics! Our local dads will showcase their skills in hilariously entertaining mini-challenges. From tying ties with lightning speed to changing diapers with ninja-like precision, these dads will compete for bragging rights and a brand-new recliner from GAMBLES. It’s going to be a spectacle of skill, speed, and plenty of laughs!
