    NWSR calling for cooler temperatures this week; possible snow in Yellowstone

    (Fremont County, WY) – The National Weather Service in Riverton is calling for cooler temperatures this week as a cold front passes through the state, with chances of rain for much of the area.

    Shoshoni, Lander and Riverton are looking at a 5-20% chance of rain depending on the day of the week, with Atlantic City and Jeffrey City getting up to 25% and Dubois at 30% on Friday, June 21. Atlantic City and Dubois may even see some high elevation snow on Tuesday, June 18.

    Speaking of snow, the NWSR also shared that Tuesday morning will see sub-freezing temperatures in the west, with light snow possible in the lower elevations of Yellowstone National Park and the Yellowstone travel corridors.
