Lander mosquito spraying rescheduled to Tuesday this week

In light of the upcoming 4th of July festivities, barbecues, and gatherings, the City of Lander will adjust its regular mosquito spraying schedule. Instead of the usual Wednesday night, spraying will occur on Tuesday, July 2, this week. Next week, the spraying will revert to the normal Wednesday night schedule.

Spraying takes place around dusk, focusing on the perimeter of the city limits unless testing indicates the need for a broader spray pattern across all city areas. In the event of storms, high winds, or mechanical issues, spraying will be rescheduled for the following day.

Residents who wish to opt out of mosquito spraying can submit a “No Spray Request” form on our website at https://www.landerwyoming.org/weed-pest. Forms can also be picked up and returned to City Hall at 240 Lincoln Street. These requests are honored until Fremont County determines that the West Nile virus poses a threat to all citizens. Please note that requests are only valid for the current year and must be renewed annually.

For more information on mosquitoes, herbicides, and insecticides used by the City of Lander, please visit the Weed and Pest page on our website. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact City Hall.

Have a safe 4th of July!
