Hot, dry conditions continue for Friday; isolated thunderstorms, increased winds likely this afternoon

(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared today, June 14, will be hot with partly to mostly sunny skies, and a high pressure ridge overhead will result in some limited moisture and isolated thunderstorms in our area this afternoon.

Lipson added that those storms will be mostly in higher elevations, but will lead to south winds gusting up 40 mph. Those winds should diminish by midnight tonight, but will pick back up tomorrow.

The National Weather Service in Riverton has also shared that those isolated storms are 30-40% likely, and that Saturday will see even stronger winds.
