The call log states that in addition to shoving the bartender, one of the subjects reportedly “threatened others with a pool ball.”

When responding officers tried to ask Remington (23, from St. McAlpin) about the assault, he reportedly “became violent, yelling racial epithets at the officer,” and then “resisted by placing the officer in a headlock.”

The officer sustained multiple injuries during this incident, including a cut lip, scraped fingers and knuckles, and scrapes on the wrist that resulted in bleeding.

Remington was subsequently charged with assault for the previous incident with the bartender, as well as assault on a police officer for the mentioned resistance.
