Creek Fire at least 50% contained as of June 15

(Fremont County) – County 10 reported on Friday, June 14 that local crews volunteered to assist with the Creek Fire near Hulett.

At that time, the fire had reached up to 1,448 acres, but, “thanks to the hard work of the crews and a break in the weather,” that fire was considered 50% contained as of yesterday, June 15, according to an update post shared on the Bureau of Land Management Facebook page.

The post went on to thank all of the crews who have helped/are currently helping with the fire, which included roughly 100 personnel from various agencies, including: Crook County Fire, multiple county fire departments, Colorado State Forestry, Wyoming State Forestry Division, State of South Dakota, BIA, BLM, and Forest Service.
