    The Nature Conservancy in Wyoming

For more than 30 years, The Nature Conservancy in Wyoming has worked with partners to
protect more than 1 million acres of Wyoming’s wild and working spaces. We are a group of
passionate people who care deeply about Wyoming’s communities and conserving the lands, water, and wildlife that make our state so special. In Lander, we steward the iconic Red Canyon Ranch as a nature preserve, working cattle ranch, and outdoor laboratory. We are a part of the Healthy Rivers Initiative, which aims to keep the Popo Agie watershed healthy for agriculture, recreation, and wildlife.

Support our mission to protect the lands and waters on which all life depends by donating
through Challenge for Charities here. Choose The Nature Conservancy in Wyoming as the
    recipient of your gift.

We have two events coming up. We hope you join us to learn about our work!

GIVE TO THE LOCAL CONSERVATION GROUP EDUCATING YOUTH AND IMPROVING WILDLIFE HABITAT DURING CHALLENGE FOR CHARITIES

(Lander, WY) – If improving wildlife habitat and educating the community about wildlife issues are important to you, giving to the Wyoming Wildlife Federation (WWF) during the 2024 Challenge for Charities season is a great fit for you!

WWF leads yearly habitat projects on public lands in the county. For 14 years in a row, WWF has organized habitat improvements in critical Fremont County big game habitats. This year, WWF is adding a family-friendly community bitterbrush seed collection with the Bureau of Land Management.

Keeping things family-friendly, the youth education program is in its 5th year serving Lander. Last year, over 100 local kids joined WWF summer camps to learn about everything from the local ecology of plants and animals to outdoor skills to keep them safe in the woods. WWF also presented programs for Lander schools and the Lights On program.

People of all ages interested in wildlife, the outdoors, and how we experience them are also
invited to join Wildlife on Tap on the first Tuesday of the month in the Coalter Loft. Wildlife on Tap brings in the experts to share the latest on wildlife, conservation, and outdoor recreation issues that matter to Lander locals and sparks important discussions within our community.

WWF’s overarching mission is to deliver leadership in conservation for Wyoming’s wildlife,
hunters, anglers, & conservationists through policy, education, advocacy, & habitat projects. That happens at the state level and through local programs like the ones you can support by giving during this Challenge for Charities season.

Wyoming’s wildlife and wild places benefit from the generosity of those who give during
Challenge for Charities, where donors’ dollars are matched to make a bigger difference.
