    Appointments, agreements and more came before the Commissioners on June 25

    (Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for their regular meeting on Tuesday, June 25. Below is a recap.

    The agreement between Fremont County and Avail Valley Construction-WY LLC was approved for the Sinks Canyon Road Improvement Project.

    Resolution No. 2024-20, FY 2023-2024 Budget Amendment No. 9, was approved for budget transfers and unanticipated revenues.

    Title III Funds were approved for the calendar year 2024: Search & Rescue $15,000 and Fire Prevention Programs $36,502.48, following the 45-day public comment period.

    The Board approved the 911 surcharge of $.75 per wireless device for FY 2024-2025.

    The Board adopted the FY 2024-2025 Fremont County Budget.

    Kristen McClelland was re-appointed to a three-year term on the Fremont County Library Board.

    Aubrey Medow was re-appointed to a three-year term on the Fremont County Planning Commission along with new applicants Margaret Wells and John Buckwalter, who were appointed to a three-year term and a one-year vacancy, respectively.

    Bob Carlson was appointed to complete a two-year term vacancy on the Fremont County Solid Waste Disposal District Board.

    The following incumbents were reappointed to three-year terms on the Fremont County Recreation Commission for their respective districts: Robert Scheidemantel (Riverton); Walt Geis (at-large); Don Reynolds (Lander); Andrea Dockery (at-large) and Kristen Klein (Riverton).
