Afternoon showers, thunderstorms likely for Thursday; 50+ mph wind gusts, small hail possible

(Fremont County, WY) – County 10 meteorologist Dave Lipson has shared that today, June 27, will be partly sunny and hot once again.

Lipson added that a vigorous trough of low pressure and accompanying Pacific cool front will swing through the area today as well, which will result in southwest winds and gusts up to 40 mph.

Lipson is also calling for widely scattered afternoon showers/thunderstorms that will bring small hail and additional wind gusts up to 55 mph. The strongest of these storms are most likely to occur over southeast Fremont County around Jeffrey City. Expect partly cloudy conditions with some winds tonight.
