Former National Basketball Association superstar Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others died Sunday in a helicopter crash near Calabasas, California.
The crash took place just hours after Bryant was surpassed by LeBron James for third place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
Many who are in Wyoming’s sports community took to Twitter Sunday to mourn and pay tribute to the basketball sensation. Former University of Wyoming basketball star Larry Nance Jr. played with Kobe on the Los Angeles Lakers during Nance’s rookie year in 2015-2016.
