Wyoming ROTC delivers Border War game ball to Colorado state line

It’s Border War day. Wyoming will play Colorado State for the 112th time on the football field tonight (Thursday) at 7:00 p.m.

This year’s match-up will look much different with no fans allowed in the stands in Fort Collins.

Every year since 1968 the game ball has been ran from Laramie to Fort Collins, or vice versa, by the two school’s ROTC’s. Each school runs it to the state line and hands it off to the other school.

Typically, both head coaches meet and address the media at the state line also. This year, however, due to COVID-19 restrictions that portion of the pregame festivities was cancelled.

Wyoming has won the rivalry game four years in a row.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network. For a full preview, click here.
