    Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper injured in crash Thursday morning

    (Guernsey, WY) – On October 28th, 2021, at 8:53 AM, a Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle collision. 

    The collision occurred around milepost 14.9 on Highway 26 in the town of Guernsey.

    The trooper had stopped in a turning lane while waiting for traffic to clear for him to turn into a gas station.

    As the trooper was waiting for traffic to clear, an eastbound vehicle entered the turning lane and collided head-on with the patrol vehicle. 

    The trooper was transported to the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland for injuries sustained in the crash.    

    The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain any apparent injuries, and was not transported.

    The WHP would like to remind motorists never to drive distracted and always wear their seatbelts.
