    Wyoming high school state swim meet saw new records Thursday

    (Fremont County, WY) – Lander Valley High School and Riverton High School swimmers began their road to championship glory yesterday in Gillette.

    For the Tigers, senior Jonny Kulow broke two records in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.07 seconds. Kulow also broke the 100 freestyle with a time of 44.45 seconds.

    Lander’s 400 freestyle relay set a new 3A state record with a time 3:05.88. The new 3A record is an automatic All-American time. Riverton’s 400 freestyle will be in the finals as well along with multiple swimmers from Riverton and Lander.

    3A finals take place on Friday.
