    Wyoming has 5th lowest tax rates in the country

    (Wyoming) – With Tax Day looming, WalletHub has released their 2022 taxpayer survey which includes states with the highest and lowest overall tax rates.

    Wyoming’s breakdown ranks our state 5th lowest in overall taxes according to the study.

    • 1st – Income Tax
    • 10th – Real-Estate Tax
    • 41st – Vehicle Property Tax
    • 39th – Sales & Excise Taxes

    2022 Taxpayer Survey

    • 72% of Americans think the government should have provided more tax relief due to COVID-19.
       
    • 81% of people say the government does not spend their tax dollars wisely.
       
    • Half of people would move to a different state to avoid taxes.
       
    • 48% of Americans think that their neighbors cheat on their taxes.
       
    • 66% of people think their current tax rate is too high.

    Alaska has the lowest overall tax rate according to WalletHub, followed by Delaware, Montana and Nevada.

    The states with the highest tax rates include Illinois, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, and Kansas.
