    Wyoming football to host Air Force in final home game of the season; Game time set for 2:00 p.m.

    ESPN Networks announced on Monday that the Air Force at Wyoming football game on Saturday, Nov. 17 will be televised on ESPNEWS.   Kickoff will be at 2:00 p.m., M.T., from Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyo.  The game will also be broadcast on radio on the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network beginning with the pregame show one hour prior to kickoff.

    Both teams are fighting to achieve bowl eligibility.  The Cowboys are 4-6 overall and 2-4 in the Mountain West Conference this season.  Wyoming has won two consecutive games heading into a bye this week.  Air Force is 3-6 and 1-4 in the Mountain West.  The Falcons will host New Mexico this Saturday (Nov. 10) before traveling to Laramie on Nov. 17.

    The two teams are among the top rushing offenses in the nation.  Wyoming features senior running back Nico Evans, who ranks No. 2 in the nation in rushing this season, averaging 145.8 yards per game.  Air Force as a team ranks No. 14 in the nation in rushing offense.  Both teams are also among the best defensive teams in the Mountain West and the nation.  Wyoming is third in the MW and No. 30 in the nation in total defense.  Air Force is fifth in the conference and 38th nationally.

    This year’s meeting will be the 57th overall in the series.  The two teams first played in 1957.  Wyoming has won the last two meetings and five of the last seven in the series.  Air Force leads the overall series with 28 wins to Wyoming’s 25. There have been three ties.  It will be the 39th consecutive season the Cowboys and Falcons will play in football.  The two Front Range rivals have played every year since 1980.
