    Wyoming football projected to finish 2nd in Mountain Division, 3 players on All-Conference team

    Returning from last year’s winning season and Famous Idaho Potato Bowl championship, Craig Bohl and the Wyoming Cowboys will be in the spotlight a bit more in 2018.

    Despite losing first-round NFL draft pick quarterback Josh Allen, the Cowboys are still projected to finish 2nd overall in the Mountain Division. Boise State received a unanimous number one vote at the Mountain West Conference Football Media Days in Las Vegas Tuesday.

    Fresno State received the most votes, followed by San Diego State in the West Division.

    3 Pokes were selected to the Preseason All-Mountain West Conference Team, including Senior strong safety Andrew Wingard, senior defensive end Carl Granderson, and junior defensive tackle Youhanna Ghaifan. The team is selected by Mountain West media members.

    Wyoming football begins their regular season August 25th at New Mexico State, their first home game is September 1st versus Washington State.

    Friday, July 27th is media day for University of Wyoming fall sports, as football fall camp begins a week earlier than usual this season.
