Wyoming Education Board disagrees on standards for computer science

According to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle, the debate for Wyoming’s proposed computer science standards were left in a stalemate after Thursday meetings.

Concerns over funding and complexity led to the debate against the computer science standards. Proponents argued for the need to get the standards approved as soon as possible due to the demand for computer science in today’s culture.

Two motions were made, one to move forward with a drafted standard from the state of Wyoming, and one to send the standards back to the Wyoming Department of Education both failed on Thursday.
