    Wyoming Department of Transportation plow struck by semi Sunday on I-80

    A Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) plow was struck by a semi near Elk Mountain on Sunday. Luckily WYDOT reports there were no injuries.

    This is the 10th time so far this winter that a plow has been struck in this WYDOT district. As always, check road conditions before you go at wyoroad.info or use the 511 app. And, use extreme caution around plows and in poor conditions.

    WYDOT District One posted more information on the incident via their Facebook page;

    One of our plows was struck from behind today by a semi-truck driving eastbound on I-80 near Elk Mountain (mm 255). There were no injuries.

    This is District 1’s 10th plow hit so far this winter season, and each time a plow is hit, it has to be taken off the roads for repairs.

    Please slow down and give the plows plenty of space so they can work to clear the roads!
