    Wyoming coal research facility delayed for another 3 years

    A facility planning to allow companies to build pilot plants to test coal conversion technology has been delayed for three more years according to a Gillette News Record report.

    The deadline of the Advanced Carbon Products Innovation Center has now been moved to June 2022.

    The Wyoming Business Council had awarded a $1.5 million grant for the project, with the stipulation that it must be completed by June 2019.

    CEO of Energy Capital Economic Development Phil Christopherson said that “little things” continue to delay the projects finalization. Christopherson says he belives the company is not in danger of losing its grant.
