    WRTA begins fixed routes Monday

    (Fremont County, WY) – Wind River Transportation Authority (WRTA) announced today they will opening up full weekdays of fixed routes starting Monday, January 11th.

    Their planned routes will circle between Riverton-Hudson-Lander. WRTA Administrator Gary Michaud shared the routes on the Wind River Reservation will open back up as soon as the Tribal Councils lift the stay-at-home order.

    “Riders will be required to wear a mask and WRTA will allow 1 rider for every two seats,” according to Michaud. The buses will also be cleaned according to CDC standards several times a day.

    WRTA also provides free VA transports for qualified veterans to the Riverton VA, Casper, Salt Lake, and other locations. Veterans are encouraged to call if they are interested in this service.
