    Wreaths Across America Ceremony in Riverton on December 19th

    The 4th annual Wreaths Across America Ceremony in Riverton at Mountain View Cemetery is happening at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 19th.

    Location Leader Captain Karl Falken has shared everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony, and help lay the 150 wreaths they have this year on the graves of veterans.

    WAA is a national ceremony with the mission to remember, honor, and teach about the veterans. The ceremonies nationwide are in coordination with the Arlington National Cemetery ceremony.

    Falken also shared that they are able to accommodate special requests from the families of the veterans buried at Mountain View Cemetery. If you have a request please email him at the address shared below.

    The Mountain View Cemetery ceremony first began in 2017 and is in partnership with 5 different organizations. Including the Sons of the American Revolution, Civil Air Patrol Yellowstone Composite and Wind River Squadrons, Fremont County Republican Women, Sons of Union Veterans, and the Women’s Auxilary Veterans Hall.

    Falken is also seeking a guest speaker and a pastor for the ceremony invocation. In addition, a veteran from each of the armed forces is needed to place the ceremonial wreaths.
