World War I Fighting Ace Snoopy is flying again on West Main

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Snoopy is back on his Sopwith Camel World War I flying machine on West Main at Major Avenue. According to the Charles Schulz Museum, the famous Peanuts creator “introduced Snoopy as the World War I Flying Ace in 1965, and over the decades the Flying Ace has become one of Snoopy’s most recognizable personas.”

The WWI Flying Ace has been a fixture on his “dog house” in Riverton for decades, but had recently fallen into disrepair and the character was losing his balance as his aircraft began falling apart. No more. Snoopy was refreshed with new paint, his Sopwith Camel was repaired and he again is in the pilot’s seat fighting the Red Baron next to Jiffy Rental.
