(Lander, WY) – Search and rescue efforts began just after 12:30 pm on February 23rd following a report of a car in the snow ~1000 yards off of WY-28. Tracks from the vehicle lead away from the highway.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office shared Wednesday morning that the body of a woman from out-of-state was found ~4 miles from the vehicle.
“No evidence of any other persons was found in the area,” according to the FCSO release.
This incident remains under investigation by the FCSO and the Fremont County Coroner’s Office.
County 10 will share updates as information is released by the authorities.
