TOWN OF DUBOIS to hold Wyoming’s ‘Third Highway Into Dubois’ Fly-In & Community Aviation Day at the Dubois Municipal Airport on Saturday, July 31, 2021.
Dubois, WY – Dubois Municipal Airport will welcome the public to its 2nd annual Community Aviation Day on Saturday, July 31. A variety of aircraft will be on display and visitors will have an opportunity to see up close and learn about them from the pilots who fly them and the specialists who maintain them. The event is free and open to all and is being presented by the Town of Dubois.
The main Sponsors for this year’s event are State Farm Insurance – Justus Jacobs (Top Gun Sponsor), Dubois Chamber of Commerce (Titanium Sponsor), Wyoming Community Bank (Up, Up & Away Sponsor), and Taylor Creek Sinclair & Deli (Touch ‘n’ Go Sponsor). Many other local Dubois businesses have also contributed to this event to help bring entertainment and support military presence.
“We hope the public will come and share the adventure of flying with us,” said Cathy Groves, Volunteer Coordinator for the event. “This is a chance to view the world of pilots who fly for business or family transportation, personal challenge, career development, or just plain fun. The day’s event will be an exciting opportunity for everyone, especially for young people and older ones who have occasionally thought about learning to fly. It will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the airport’s role in the community, as well as experiencing the excitement of aviation first hand.”

Pilots from all over Wyoming and neighboring states are invited to fly in for the morning’s activities. A Safety Seminar is scheduled from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. and WINGS credit will be given to those who participate. Afterwards, pilots may take to the skies to participate in a game from the air; prizes will be awarded at 1:00 p.m. In addition to the in-air game, an award will be given to the Youngest Pilot, Oldest Pilot, Pilot who travels the farthest to get to Dubois, and Pilot who is the first to arrive on the morning of the event.
Raffle tickets will be on sale for a free helicopter ride with two emergency service companies – Classic Air Medical and Guardian Air – during the event on Saturday. The raffles will benefit a newly formed non-profit in Dubois, Upper Wind River Valley Ambulance Association.
