#WhatsHappening: WRP announces events for June 2024

Celebrating 11 years, Wind River Pride (WRP) June Pride starts on Saturday, June 1, with events throughout the month of June. Wind River Pride includes Wind River Reservation and Fremont County, with members from Arapahoe, Ethete, Ft. Washakie, Lander, Riverton, and rural areas.

“We are a grassroots organization that supports community engagement, activities, and building ally collaborations–and we’re ready to have a blast with the community,” notes Camila Spoonhunter (they/them) of WRP.

Here is the lineup of events:

Please go to or find us on Facebook and Instagram for more information about the events.

Celebrate by joining us at events or volunteering through Lander Connected. Pride in the Park will feature a silent auction, and donations of goodies and services from community members and businesses are encouraged.

Our Queer Closet organizer, Alex Edwards (he/they) says, “The fabulous Queer Closet during Pride in the Park is looking for androgynous, size inclusive, and funky clothing”.

As Wind River Pride is a grassroots community space funded by the community, we would greatly appreciate any financial donations to fund this annual event and the programming in 2024/2025.

We are so excited to celebrate with you all this June. We have worked hard this past year to deepen relationships with our community and we recently announced our new grounding statement that can be found on our website.
