Singing sensation, and former Fremont County football star, Abraham Thomas would like to invite the community to a Christmas Concert at the Riverton Library this Saturday from 7-9 pm. Concert is free to attend and they will be accepting donations to benefit two families in great need.
Below is Abraham’s story and the inspiration behind this Saturday’s Benefit Christmas Concert.
My name is Abraham Thomas. I was born in a small town called Riverton Wyoming. I lived on the Wind River Reservation most of my life and moved to Utah in 2005. I’m half Native American (Sioux) and Polynesian (Tongan). I’m married to the love of my life and have 4 amazing kids, Sariah, Warrior, Jacklynne, and Sekope. My passion is singing and my focus is to bring positivity to people who fight with depression, like myself. My motivation is to show my love and spirit through music. My dream is to sing in front of millions of people to bring Inspiration to my people on the reservations.
I believe love can conquer all if we only believe.
On the 21st of December, I’ll be holding a benefit Christmas concert at the Riverton Library in the Community Room from 7-9 pm. Come one come all!
I will be singing in hopes to get donations for a family friend and her daughters Navie and Tallie. Tallie has had 8 surgeries for a rare birth defect she was born with. She’s recently had major surgery on the 12th of December and we’re hoping it will be her last. We don’t know how long she will be in the hospital afterward recovering but from the looks of it she and her family won’t be receiving a Christmas this year. Please help me raise some money to give this family a deserving Christmas this year.
The other reason why am singing is to try to raise money for my mother. She is on disability and does not have enough money to get the meds that she needs to survive. I will be separating the funds between the two benefits I’m seeing for.
Remember this is a free Christmas concert and I don’t want you to feel obligated to give your money. Sometimes just giving your love and support is more than any monetary donation. Please enjoy some beautiful Christmas music from myself on this night.
