The first ever Riverton Holiday Festival provides residents, businesses and organizations a centralized location to list their public holiday happenings for free. The idea is to boost event attendance, encourage shopping local and bring the community together for a fun holiday season.
Inspired by the amount of holiday activities and the Riverton Parks Committee tree lighting last year; founder and organizer Cameron Fehring realized a central location for advertising and featuring all the events could help people know what’s going on and make decisions about which events they want to attend. “My favorite example is last year there were 14 appearances of Santa, in Riverton alone, but they were not necessarily known about.”
The Riverton Holiday Festival website is up and going so you can easily add your event, view the calendar of happenings and more.

The weekend before Thanksgiving begins the “Pre-Holiday Kick-Off” and the official opening weekend is Friday, December 6th. Opening night is filled with fun events and activities for everyone. You can check all those out on the calendar.
Organizations helping with the festival include: Arts in Action, the Community Engagement Committee, and the Downtowners.
