    Several events celebrating the 4th of July have been coming together here in Fremont County over the last few weeks.

    County 10 has been sharing details about the events as they become available so we thought we would do a July 4th weekend roundup of everything we know that’s happening.


    The festivities begin Friday, July 3rd:

    The Dubois Friday Night Rodeo which kicks-off their season and the weekend on Friday, July 3rd. There will also be a special Saturday, July 4th, rodeo. Both evenings are from 7:30-10 pm. Entries for the rodeo will be Thursday evenings prior to the Friday night (and Saturday night) performances, by call-in ONLY from 7-9:00 pm. Please call 307-486-2214 to enter. There will be food and beer on location. No presold tickets. Pay at the gate $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under. The rodeos will continue everyday Friday until August 21st.

    The Pavillion Fire Department is hosting their annual July 3rd fireworks display at dark. Following the fireworks, a drive-in movie has been planned. The movie is Playing With Fire and is rated PG. More details can be found in our earlier post, click here.


    Saturday, July 4th in Dubois:

    10:00 am – Fireworks are allowed within town limits until 10:00 pm.

    2:00 pm – 4th of July Parade featuring Governor Mark Gordon and First Lady Jennie Gordon in the lead float.

    Following the parade – “Ice Cream Anti-Social” at the corner of Ramshorn and First.

    7:30 pm – Rodeo at the Clarence Allison Memorial Arena

    Dusk – Fireworks display on the overlook so you can see them everywhere.

    Saturday, July 4th in Lander:

    9:00 am – Open containers are allowed until midnight. Click here for more info.

    10:00 am – Fireworks allowed within city limits until midnight. Click here for more info.

    10:00 am – 2020 Pirate Parade heads down Lander’s Main Street from Baldwin Creek to 2nd Street. Click here for the latest.

    12:00 pm – 8 Second Ride is hosting a free concert in Lander’s City Park.

    Dusk – Lander Rural Fire Department is providing a fireworks show. Click here for more info.


    Saturday, July 4th in Pavillion:

    Fireworks are allowed within town limits until midnight.


    Saturday, July 4th in Riverton:

    6:30 pm – Fireworks are allowed within city limits until 11:45 pm.


    Saturday, July 4th in Shoshoni:

    10:00 am – Fireworks are allowed within town limits until midnight.


    Saturday, July 4th in South Pass City:

    10:30 am – South Pass City Freedom Jam until 3:00 pm. After a year-long restoration, South Pass City’s popular saloon reopens on July 4th as part of the South Pass City Freedom Jam. The Freedom Jam will host local musicians, with plenty of room to social distance. Admission is $3 for Wyoming residents and $5 for non-residents, kids under 18 are free. Click here for more info.
