    #WhatsHappening: Honoring veterans, ice skating, fireworks, fundraisers, and more this week

    It is a busy week in Fremont County! In an effort to round up all the happenings, below is what we know is going on!

    We are now in the final days of the Community Entry Services Festival of the Trees virtual silent auction. The silent auction wraps up this week on Friday, December 18th. This is the annual CES fundraiser which has gone online this year due to COVID-19. Click here to learn more and place a bid for a great cause!

    The Lander ice rink will be opening on Friday, December 18th. There are a few changes to their traditional programming. Click here to read our earlier post. The Riverton ice rink will not be opening this week. Click here for the latest.

    Also on December 18th, is the first-ever “Top of the Hill Candyland Christmas” in Riverton from 5-7 pm. Fireworks will also be lighting up the sky at 6 pm from Jaycee Park. Click here to find out more.

    On Saturday, December 19th Lander Valley High School junior Taylor Romans has organized the Wreaths Across America Ceremony at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander for the second year. Click here to learn more.

    Also on the 19th, a Wreaths Across America Ceremony will happen at Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton. Click here to learn more.

    Gift wrapping for the annual Christmas Basket Program organized by the Lander Elks and Holy Rosary Catholic Church is happening on the 19th as well. Maybe gift wrapping isn’t your thing, the basket distribution is happening on Sunday, December 20th. Click here for more info.
