    #WhatsHappening: Fundraisers, speed trials, adventures, beef and more this weekend

    (Fremont County, WY) – School may have started for most kiddos this week, but summer isn’t quite over yet. Two fundraisers this weekend, class reunion, fast cars, adventures, beef and more!

    If you’ve waited all summer to tour the Carissa Gold Mine Mill at South Pass, you can still get a tour in before the season wraps up Labor Day weekend. They happen Thursday-Sunday at 2 pm! Learn more here and don’t forget to make a reservation.

    Friday, August 27th, kicks off the weekend of events with the Riverton High School Class of ’71 Reunion.

    Showdown in the Fast Lane is happening in Shoshoni on Saturday. Gates open at 8 am and racing starts at 10 am! Click here to learn more.

    The Rendezvous City Beef Round-up is also happening at Intertribal Center at the Central Wyoming College campus in Riverton on Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm. Vendors, presentations, and beef producers! Click here to learn more.

    The Fremont County Museum Systems also has two adventures on Saturday morning into afternoon: J.B. Okie Manor Adventure Trek and CWC/Sinks Canyon Apple Orchard Adventure Trek.

    The Riverton Search & Rescue is hosting a fundraiser on Saturday to raise money for much-needed equipment and training. The “Get Lost Banquet” dinner is happening at the Fremont Center starting at 5:30 pm. Click here to learn more.

    On Sunday evening starting at 5 pm, the White Heart Foundation is hosting “A Night With Our Heroes” at the Lander Community Center to support their first-ever all-female Veteran retreat group as part of the Lander-based Guardian Project. Click here to learn more.
