#WhatsHappening: Friday Night Cruise roundup for Lander, Riverton

County 10 has shared different donation drives, parades, etc…that are planned for both the Lander and Riverton Friday Night Cruises tonight. Frankly, there’s a lot going on so we wanted to round them up into one place so you can hit all the donation drives and not miss grad celebrations.

There is likely more happening out there than we know about, but below is what we know!

Class of 2020 parade for Lander Valley High School, Pathfinder High School, and Wyoming Catholic College grads. At 7:00 pm the Lander Police Department will be leading the students from N 1st Street and head westbound toward LVHS. During the parade, KDLY 97.5 FM will announce the names of all the grads from LVHS, PHS, and WCC. The community is invited out to line Main Street and celebrate the grads, Patti shared. She also asks that everyone maintain social distancing protocol. Fireworks will follow the traditional Friday night football field lighting that happens at 8:20 pm. County 10 will be live-streaming the parade as well!

The Fremont County Mask Project will be at Phil’s Dog Shak handing out free face masks tonight!

Riverton Middle School 7th graders Ellanie Forbis and Cambree Jevne are raising money for PAWS for Life Animal League by making and selling pet bandanas in a variety of sizes. You can find them selling their handmade bandanas in the Java Java parking lot tonight. More details on their community service school project can be found by clicking here.

Riverton Middle School 7th graders Triston Ladd and Ayden Kelley will be at Daylight Donuts and Phil’s Dog Shak collecting canned goods for the Riverton Christian Food Storehouse. More details on their community service school project can be found by clicking here.

Riverton Middle School 7th grader Faith Stevens is collecting items and cash donations for PAWS for Life Animal League. The location of the donation drop-off has not been confirmed, but look for signs with paw prints on the Main Street drag. More details on her community service school project and the list of items PAWS needs can be found by clicking here.

All of the Fremont County Class of 2020 grads are encouraged to join in Riverton’s Friday Night Cruise tonight. Car decorating, and prom attire are encouraged. Seniors wishing to participate can meet at the Riverton High School Career Center at 6:30 pm. Clark’s Meat House is sponsoring the live-stream of the parade through County 10 tonight!
