The worldwide church organization, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ), that owns the mushroom farm in Shoshoni is holding its annual “Aid to Humanity Day” on Saturday, October 31st. The event will take place at 10:00 am in the Shoshoni Community Room – next to Town Hall.
This is a free event for anyone in the community, shared Shoshoni Church of Christ Minister Ed Gaper. They will be giving away a limited number of Chromebooks, $20 Walmart gift cards, food, and winter clothes. Everything is first-come, first-serve.
This is a worldwide event Iglesia Ni Cristo has hosted annually for the last 20 years, Gaper explained. “We hope people will understand the Christian love that we like to share.”
This is the first “Aid to Humanity Day” that is happening in Fremont County since the organization purchased the mushroom farm in January.
