Fremont Therapy Group welcomes new PT, Daniel Smith to its Lander Clinic.
Daniel grew up in the Pacific Northwest before beginning his college career and earning his B.S.B in Economics from DePaul University. After college, he traveled a bit and taught English abroad in South Korea on the outskirts of Busan.
“It was a great experience to live in a foreign country and experience their culture. It helped give me a broader perspective and allowed me to connect with people in a new way.”
From there he focused on the goal of physical therapy as a career, ultimately earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University.
By way of Seattle, Boise, and Flagstaff, Daniel is thrilled to be in Wyoming where he can continue to explore the mountain west landscape. When he is not helping patients, you will find Daniel rock climbing, backpacking, and shooting photography.
“I came to Lander in early June of 2021 and so far I love it. It’s been easy to make friends and the access to outdoor activities is amazing.”

Professionally, his most significant interest is in vestibular and balance disorders, neurological conditions, and post-concussion syndrome in athletes. Daniel has expanded his education in vestibular rehab, pain neuroscience education, concussion treatment, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
Daniel brings enthusiasm and diverse experience to his role as a physical therapist. He believes in using a patient-centered, educational approach to help promote wellness and recovery in patients.
Daniel takes pride in building relationships with patients to help them understand the underlying causes of their pain or limitations and developing treatments that lead to recovery. His goal is to serve as a reliable resource for patients beyond treatment in the clinic and continually provide information to help them get the most fulfillment out of life.
