Wednesday night AMBER Alert ends with child located safely in Lander

Release from Wyoming Highway Patrol:

On September 25, 2019, around 9:36 p.m. Wyoming Highway Patrol was notified of an Amber Alert.  The Amber Alert was from a child abduction in the Salt Lake City, Utah, area.

WHP Troopers were notified the suspect vehicle involved in the incident was possibly headed towards Riverton, Wyoming.  A short time later Troopers were able to locate the vehicle in Lander, Wyoming and conduct a traffic stop.  The child was found unharmed and released to the Wyoming Department of Family Services.

The driver and passenger have been identified as Naomi S. Yellowbear, and Jasmine Alvarez, who were both arrested for interference with custody.

The incident is still under investigation.
