Walk to End Alzheimer’s, ‘Rendezvous at the Riverwalk’ happening September 11th

(Riverton, WY) – The first-ever Rendezvous at the Riverwalk and the Fremont County Walk to End Alzheimer’s are happening on Saturday, September 11th. Both events will take place at the Riverwalk located behind the Fremont Center.

The Fremont County Walk to End Alzheimer’s will kick off the day. This is technically the very first walk since last year was turned into a drive due to COVID. Click here to register for the walk and/or make a donation to Alzheimer’s Association.

The Rendezvous at the Riverwalk is something community member Grace Andrus has worked toward since 2019. This inaugural event will pay special honor to those who lost their lives 20 years ago and our local first responders, she shared.

Local Veterans will present the colors at the event and will have a booth set up to discuss 9/11 and its world impact.

Grace’s hope is to have the Rendezvous at the Riverwalk become an annual event that encourages the community to not only come together but to enjoy what the city has to offer – like the Riverwalk.

Vendors interested in participating in the event will need to register before September 5th by emailing [email protected]. There is no vendor fee.

You can follow the Rendezvous at the Riverwalk Facebook page for the latest updates.
