Love is in the air this weekend at Barry Cinemas

In the mood for a love story? Of course, you are! It’s Valentine’s Weekend. Lucky for you the Gem is showing the old favorite, The Notebook at 7:10 pm. The film stars Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. A poor yet passionate young man falls in love with a rich young woman, giving her a sense of freedom, but they are soon separated because of their social differences.

At the Grand in Lander, they are playing a spookier love story, Ghost starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg. After a young man is murdered, his spirit stays behind to warn his lover of impending danger, with the help of a reluctant psychic.

Barry Cinemas Gem Theatre is showing the 2021 new release, The Little Things, starring Denzel Washington, Rami Malek, and Jared Leto.

Deke (Denzel Washington), a burnt-out Kern County, CA deputy sheriff teams up with Baxter (Rami Malek), a crack LASD detective, to nab a serial killer. Deke’s nose for the “little things” proves eerily accurate, but his willingness to circumvent the rules embroils Baxter in a soul-shattering dilemma. Meanwhile, Deke must wrestle with a dark secret from his past.

Barry Cinemas has changed its hours and will be closed Monday and Tuesday until further notice. That still leaves plenty of time to catch a great movie on the big screen. Book tickets online and save time and make sure you can pick the perfect seat ahead of time. Just click on the time of the movie you are interested in and it takes you to the “book tickets” screen.
