    Virgil Allen Whiteman Sr

    Virgil Allen Whiteman Sr, Hebe3wox ~ Big Bear, 67, of Ethete, WY died on June 16, 2019 in the Ogden Regional Medical Center, Ogden Utah. A Rosary will be 7pm, Sunday, June 23, 2019 in the Blue Sky Hall, Ethete. The Wake will then be at 9:00pm, at the family home 32 Whitehawk Circle, Ethete. The Funeral Service will be 10:00am, Monday, June 24, 2019 in the Blue Sky Hall. Burial will follow in the Friday Cemetery, Ethete.

    He was born Sept. 12, 1951 to John Atlee Whiteman and Eva Mae Goggles in Thermopolis, Wyo.

    In 11th Grade at Wyoming Indian High School, he enjoyed playing in the Wind River Outlaws band. He liked to travel and go to the casino. He was a Laborer as a Sho-Rap fire fighter. His proudest work was participating in the space shuttle recovery in Texas. He sang with the Blue Sky Singers, enjoyed pow-wow , rodeos, Arapaho Sundance, arts and crafts, especially making drums, parfleche boxes and shields. He liked going hunting with his brother-in-law Dalwayne Campton.

    Virgil was preceded in death by his mother, Eva Mae Goggles; father, John Atlee Whiteman; brothers, John Lee Whiteman, Charles Whiteman and Kenneth J. Whiteman; grandparents, Michael Goggles, Mollie Fatman; son, Sheldon Ray Whiteman; step-son, Henry D Arthur Jr.

    He is survived by his wife, Mary J. (Revere) Whiteman; son, Mitchell L. Whiteman; step-sons, Nathan T. Arthur, William R. Arthur, Jonathan B. Arthur and Virgil A Whiteman Jr.; daughters, Chanda L. Whiteman, Loretta I. Whiteman, Alana Whiteman; step-daughters, Marie A. Arthur, and Marcella K. Arthur; brother, Ernest M. Whiteman, sister, Ramona G. Compton; Whiteman Family; Goggles Family; Potter Family; Spoonhunter Family; C’Bearing Family; Sunrhodes Family; Trumbull Family; Decoteau Family; and numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
