A video released by the US Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is spotlighting Fremont County and its challenges with drunk drivers.
The video highlights a multi-agency project with law enforcement officers from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Riverton Police Department, Lander Police Department, and Fremont County Sheriff’s Department. Since the project began in 2016, drinking and driving numbers have decreased steadily.
This week, a campaign began from the Governor’s Council on Impaired Driving that spotlights the effects of driving while under the influence of marijuana or some prescription drugs.
